As operator of SOCIAL MEDIA pages, we have entered into agreements with Facebook that define terms for use of the Facebook and Instagram pages. These are based on the Facebook Terms Of Service and their Other Terms And Policies listed.
We also receive anonymous, collected statistics about visitors to our social pages through Facebook Insights (https://en-gb.facebook.com/policy). This helps us to understand how people are interacting with our posts and to improve content for our followers. HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
If you choose to book an appointment, in order to give professional holistic treatments, we will need to gather and retain potentially sensitive information about your health via CONSULTATION FORM. This will either be emailed to you, and returned by you in encrypted email, or given to you in person.
We will only use this information for the purpose of providing holistic treatments and associated recommendations concerning aspects of health and wellbeing which we will offer you.
LAWFUL BASIS FOR HOLDING AND USING CLIENT INFORMATION –
As a full member of the Association of Reflexologists, we abide by the AoR strict Code of Practice and Ethics for ALL holistic treatments provided. The lawful basis under which we hold and use your information is:
a) legitimate interest ie our requirement to retain the information in order to provide you with the best possible treatment options and advice
b) for ‘claims occurring’ insurance and law regarding children’s records
As we hold special category data (ie health related information) the Additional Condition under which we hold and use this information is: for us to fulfil our role as health care practitioner bound under the AoR confidentiality as defined in the AoR Code of Practice and Ethics and our insurance company poilicy.
We will NOT share this information with anyone, other than required for legal purposes, without explaining why it is necessary and getting your explicit consent.
We will retain your information for 7 years for ‘claims occurring’ insurance purposes (children’s records to be kept until the child is 25.
How we protect your data
We are committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place appropriate technical, physical and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from you.
We will contact you using the contact preferences you give me in relation to:
appointment times, treatment/health information and special offers/promotions – you can update your preferences at any time.
