About
Nadia McArthur
MAR, MHS, REIKI MASTER
I am passionate about empowering others. Having experienced the benefits of yoga, meditation and holistic therapies at times of trauma in my own life, I was drawn to study and practise various healing therapies.
Since childhood I have loved animals and the outdoors. I went from pony mad teen to an early career devoted to teaching/riding and training young horses. At age 19 a serious road accident presented a wonderful opportunity for spiritual growth.
I felt connected to a source much greater than myself in such a profound way I had never experienced before. During recovery, my yoga and meditation practice deepened and although I did resume my equestrian career, my life and career path changed.

In 1993 I qualified as a Hypnotherapist with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis, working in stress management and behaviour modification. In 1997, as a Senior Instructor for the Kent Autistic Trust, I became a Reiki Master and qualified as a Reflexologist with the International Federation of Reflexologists. Since then, I have continued my professional development in these therapies, also gaining certification in Swedish and Acupressure massage techniques, Animal communication and healing, and am an accredited Meditation teacher.
I recently expanded upon my Reiki Master training with Jeanne Long, former Chair of the Reiki Council and founder of The Reiki Connection. I have verified lineage leading back to Mikao Usui and am a member of The Reiki Association and The Reiki Connection.
I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists, and registrant member of the National Hypnotherapy Society. I was formerly a registered Therapist with The Harmony Therapy Trust – a charity which receives referrals from Hospices, NHS, GP’s, Oncologists, and provides free Holistic treatments to people suffering from Cancer and other life altering conditions.
Over the years I have worked with all ages and professions, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and teachers, also adults and children with special needs or disabilities.
