Bare Kind Bamboo Socks
If you hop over to my online shop, you’ll see a wonderful selection of colourful, bamboo socks, with fun and funky animal designs by Bare Kind. Lucy Jeffrey is the creative entrepreneur who’s been on a mission to save the planet since setting up Bare Kind in 2018. This May 2023, Bare Kind celebrated its 5th birthday.
Conscious gift giving
Bare Kind donate 10% of their profits to a growing number of animal conservation charities, so each pair you buy, you are making a valuable contribution to helping the animal on the sock. Every amazing species on our planet plays a vital role within the ecosystem, yet many are sadly endangered. Bare Kind have linked with some amazing charities dedicated to saving and protecting animals – the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, the British Hedgehog Preservation Society, the Wild Otter Trust, The Farm Animal Sanctuary, the Rainforest Trust UK and many more.
What’s in the sock?
Bare Kind socks are made with 65% viscose from bamboo, which is FSC certified as sustainably grown and harvested. The socks are made with care by a family-run (third generation) factory in Istanbul which follows best practice regulations and where all workers are over the age of 18 and receiving a fair wage.
Packaging is kept to a minimum and is made of FSC certified cardboard – no plastic in sight!
These beautiful socks are not only great to look at, but soft, stretchy, and comfy to wear. They are also antibacterial and ‘thermoregulating’, meaning your feet will keep cool in summer and warm in winter! If you show your socks some love by washing in cool water or up to 30 degrees, their soft feel and quality will be long lasting.
